Kenyan avocado exports have reached unprecedented levels this year, with the Horticultural Crops Directorate reporting a 30% increase in export volumes compared to the previous year.
The growth is attributed to increased demand from European and Middle Eastern markets, as well as improved farming practices among Kenyan growers.
“We are seeing exceptional quality from our partner farms this season,” says James Mwangi, CEO of KenyaFresh Exports. “The combination of favorable weather conditions and advanced agricultural techniques has resulted in outstanding produce.”
The avocado industry continues to be a major foreign exchange earner for Kenya, with projections indicating continued growth in the coming years.
